Daylight Savings Time

We just had our leap day. I was thinking “a whole extra day! Woooie! I can do a lot with that.” I can get a day’s worth of laundry done. I can reorganize the kitchen so that the plates are not above the dishwasher so that I don’t have to stretch to move them from the dishwasher to the cupboard. Yeah, I know you’re thinking that it was stupid to put them there in the first place but they were put there when our kids were small enough that letting them reach breakable plates was a bad idea. You know how things are, once kids exist, stuff like that doesn’t get moved except on leap years!

The Banana Farmer Part Two: A Short Diary Entry

We had spaghetti, salad and garlic toast last night. The meal went wonderfully smoothly. After eating, my sweetie went to work. She had two classes last night and two in the morning which is above her absolute maximum number of classes that she’ll teach in a day but she was subbing for a reliable friend in dire need so I guess it is OK.
