I’m busy today. I checked my email and found a lovely letter from my internet love. I checked her blog too. I wasn’t planning on doing anything else online today but her most recent post inspired me to take a picture and post it.

No Cheating

I’m required to tell the students not to cheat. I’m supposed to tell them that the assignments are there so that they learn the material. Also, the exams are to be written entirely alone because out in the real world, they’ll always have to develop things entirely by themselves with no access to references and no ability to consult with co-workers.

I feel silly telling them these things. Do the people asking me to do this think there is any
